The artist
I have been painting and making clay models for some years now, after getting completely addicted to people's reactions when receiving a personal piece of artwork.
It all started with a portrait of my sister's dog, Fred. From this portrait on, I've loved to capture the personality of a subject rather than paint or make a particularly serious, realistic portrait. The characters all have something to say, looking back at me as I'm making them and feeling like they're part of the family! I hope the neighbours don't hear me chatting to them - they may stop coming round for tea!
